Westminster Alum Colby Stevenson Wins Silver Medal In Men’s Big Air Ski Event

SALT LAKE CITY – Westminster alum and Park City native Colby Stevenson took home the silver medal in the men’s big air ski event at the Winter Olympic Games.
Colby Stevenson finished four points behind Birk Ruud of Norway for the gold medal, which landed him with the silver medal. Henrik Harlaut of Sweden finished with a bronze medal. University of Utah alum Alex Hall finished in eighth place.
Stevenson’s first run recorded a 34.75 before his second run brought some juice as he completed a difficult trick that landed him a score of 91.75. His third run ended with a 91.25 for a total of 183.00.
Hall recorded a 68.25 score on his first run before showing improvement on his second run with a score of 92.50. Unfortunately for Hall, he fell on his third run which hurt his score. He recorded a 27.00 for a total of 160.75.
Stevenson was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and currently resides in Park City, Utah and attended Westminster College. This is his first Winter Olympic Games.
Hall is from Fairbanks, Alaska and attended the University of Utah. This is his second Winter Olympic Games after competing in 2018.
