Midfielder Everton Luiz Agrees To New Deal With Real Salt Lake

SALT LAKE CITY – Real Salt Lake and Everton Luiz agreed to a new contract that will keep the midfielder with Utah’s MLS club for the 2022 season.
A source confirmed Luiz’s new deal to KSLSports.com on Friday, January 21.
The Porto Alegre, Brazil native has been a member of Real Salt Lake since the 2019 campaign.

Last season, Luiz appeared in 25 matches, including 19 starts. He had one assist, nine shots, and one shot on goal in 2021. During his three seasons with the club, Luiz has recorded three assists, 20 shots, and three shots on target in 66 matches.
Luiz helped RSL reach the postseason and the Western Conference Final in 2021.
Real Salt Lake players recently returned to Utah in preparation for the 2022 season.
The club will kick off its preseason slate in late January.
