According to a release from BYU, the two schools and the West Coast Conference will work to reschedule the contest later this season, if possible.
This is the first postponement on BYU’s schedule this season due to COVID-19.
Earlier this season, BYU coach Jeff Judkins tested positive for COVID-19, missing a holiday tournament at the end of November. He has since returned after missing three games.
BYU is currently 10-1 overall on the season after completing the non-conference portion of the schedule. Additionally, the Cougars have accomplished the highest ranking in program history earlier this season, rising to as high as No. 16 in the Top 25 polls.
Led by three All-American candidates in Shaylee Gonzales, Lauren Gustin, and Paisley Harding, BYU has defeated five teams from Power Six conferences this season. The lone setback was an overtime loss to Oklahoma in Norman. Oklahoma is currently receiving votes in the AP Top 25 poll.
The next scheduled game for BYU Women’s Basketball is this Saturday when they host the Portland Pilots at 2 p.m. on BYUtv.
