College Basketball Insider Jon Rothstein Creates Slogan For BYU’s Mark Pope

PROVO, Utah – The slogans from college basketball insider Jon Rothstein have become part of the fabric of the sport. From “This is March,” “Stay Positive. Test Negative.” to “We Sleep in May,” Rothstein has a lot of memorable one-liners.
Some of his best slogans are ones centered around coaches. From “Dana Altman solves Rubik’s Cubes” to Michigan’s Juwan Howard leading “The Fab Vibe,” if you’re a name in college hoops, Rothstein has a tagline for you.

For those who don’t know who Rothstein is, he’s a college basketball insider for CBS Sports and hosts the “College Hoops Today” Podcast.
After BYU’s win in the Diamond Head Classic over South Florida, Rothstein dropped his new slogan for BYU coach Mark Pope. It reads, “Mark Pope. Keeping The Faith.”
Simple and to the point. It plays off the Pope name plus it works even better considering the third-year headman at BYU leads a program at a faith-based school.
It’s not quite to the level of “West Virginia: Tougher than a long weekend at your in-laws.” Of course, a weekend BYU will soon get to know in the Big 12 Conference beginning in 2023, but having a Rothstein-ism is better than no Rothstein-ism.

Rotstein also created a t-shirt with the “keeping the faith” tagline. It spreads.
Pope’s program has earned the attention of national talking heads such as Rothstein from the winning that BYU has produced under his leadership. Through 71 games, Pope’s BYU teams are 54-17.
BYU will return to action tonight when they take on the Vanderbilt Commodores from the SEC in the Semifinals of the Diamond Head Classic in Hawaii.
