SALT LAKE CITY – Utah football standouts Clark Phillips III, T.J. Pledger IV and Bamidele Olaseni have partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of Salt Lake City to put on a Toy Drive.

All week long, the Salt Lake City community will have a chance to help the Utah football trio give back to the community.

Fans and members of the community can donate toys at specific locations throughout the Wasatch Front beginning Monday, December 13 until Friday, December 17. The toys must be new and not gift-wrapped.

“Biggest thing for me, when it comes to the toy drive when they said that we had an opportunity to give back and impact the community, I’ve always wanted to make an impact on the guys that are coming up, especially the kids that are from my area. “Phillips said. “The kids that are even from the area that I’m a part of now, Salt Lake City, I’ve always wanted to make a difference and make an impact. I felt like this is the perfect opportunity to be able to show them that we care, show them that it’s possible and to do it in a nice way.”

How Fans Can Meet The Utah Football Trio

Phillips, Pledger and Olaseni will be at the toy drive drop off location on Saturday, December 18, located at 366 West 500 South at the east door. They will be there from 2-4 p.m. MT. That time is subject to change depending on any changes for the players’ football schedule.

Fans can bring toys to the event and meet and greet with the three players.

“I think it just comes down to being thankful,” Pledger said. “It’s been a long year for all of us. We understand that we’re blessed and this is a great time of the year. Not everybody is gonna have the same opportunities and blessings on Christmas Day as everybody else so why not give back? I think that’s just a part of me and Clark when we decided to be a part of this because we see kids at the games and it inspires us, and we want to show them how much they mean us. We know how they look at us because we were once in a shoes and I think that’s just the big thing, being thankful, trying to give back.”
