Jazz Open Game Against Wizards With Alley-Oop Slam Dunk

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz started their game against the Washington Wizards with a pretty alley-oop for a slam dunk between Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert.
The Wizards hosted the Jazz on Saturday, December 11.
11 seconds into the contest, Mitchell threw a lob towards the rim for a back-cutting Gobert.
The Jazz center rose up and threw the ball through the cylinder with two hands for two points.

Gobert’s dunk gave the Jazz an early 2-0 lead.
This season, Gobert is averaging 14.9 points per game on 72.5 percent shooting. Mitchell records 24.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 0.2 blocks, and 1.7 steals in 32.5 minutes per contest.

The Wizards entered the matchup with the Jazz owning a 15-11 record, including 8-3 at home.
The Jazz arrived in Washington after starting 18-7 this season, including a 9-3 record away from Vivint Arena.
