SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Jazz forward Eric Paschall discussed the physical style of play that took place during the team’s loss to the Indiana Pacers.

The Jazz fell at home to the Pacers on Thursday, November 11.

Late in the fourth quarter, a fight broke out between Jazz center Rudy Gobert and Indiana’s Myles Turner. The skirmish quickly escalated and involved more players.

Multiple players were ejected from the contest, including three Jazz players.

The next morning, Paschall discussed the game’s physicality during an interview with Hans Olsen on the Hans & Scotty G show on The Zone Sports Network.

Olsen asked the Jazzman if he noticed the game’s physicality when he stepped onto the court.

“For sure,” Paschall responded. “You be physical with them. So, when I come into the game, I try to let my presence be known and let them know like, ‘Hey, we’re gonna fight back.’ So, that’s part of what I try to bring to the game as well.”

Olsen followed up by asking the forward how far you can take the physical style of play during an NBA game.

“You kind of test it throughout the game,” the Villanova product said. “You see you see what you can get away with and what you can’t, and you go by that standard. So, you take a mental note of how it’s being called a game, and then you just apply to your game, and how you want to apply that force or your physicality throughout the game without doing too much.”

With the loss, the Jazz fell at home for the first time this season and moved to an 8-4 record.

Through the first 12 games of the 2021-22 campaign, Paschall is averaging 4.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 0.7 assists in 15.1 minutes per contest.

Utah’s next game is against the Miami Heat on Saturday, November 13 at 3 p.m. (MDT). The game will be broadcast on AT&T SportsNet, NBA TV, and The Zone Sports Network.

The Hans & Scotty G show can be heard weekdays from Noon-3 p.m. (MDT) on The Zone Sports Network (97.5 FM/1280 AM).
