Wilson remained on the turf for a couple of minutes following the hit. He was able to get up and walk off the field under his own power.
After making his way to the sideline, Wilson was examined in the Jets’ medical tent before going to the locker room. New York initially said the quarterback was questionable to return with a knee injury. After the halftime break, the Jets announced that Wilson would not return in the second half.
