Brooks Koepka and Finau beat Justin Rose and Jon Rahm by one in the first fourball match of the 2018 tournament. He and Koepka then lost to Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia 2 & 1 the following morning. But Finau ended his 2018 Ryder Cup campaign with a 6 & 4 victory in his singles match against Tommy Fleetwood. He was only one of four USA victories in the singles format in 2018.
