Report: Former Utah Jazz Player, Fan Favorite Kyle Korver Joins Brooklyn Nets Coaching Staff

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah Jazz sharpshooter and fan favorite Kyle Korver joined the coaching staff for the Brooklyn Nets, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
The NBA insider reported the hire on Thursday, August 12.
“After 17 NBA seasons, one-time All-Star Kyle Korver is joining the Brooklyn Nets as a player development assistant coach on Steve Nash’s staff, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium,” Charania tweeted.
Korver played for the Jazz in different stints during his NBA career.

The former Jazzman joined a Nets organization that finished the 2020-21 season with a 48-24 record and reached the Eastern Conference Semifinals in the postseason before getting eliminated by the eventual champion Milwaukee Bucks.
About Kyle Korver
After a college career at Creighton, Korver was selected during the second round of the 2003 NBA Draft.
Korver played the first few seasons of his pro career with the Philadelphia 76ers.
During the 2007-08 season, the Jazz traded for Korver.
The shooting guard played for Utah until the 2010 offseason.

Following his first stint with the Jazz, Korver played for the Chicago Bulls, Atlanta Hawks, and Cleveland Cavaliers.
During the 2014-15 season with the Hawks, Korver was named an NBA All-Star for the first and only time of his career. Korver also received the NBA’s Sportsmanship Award in 2015.

Korver played in the NBA Finals in back-to-back seasons as a member of the Cavs during the 2017 and 2018 NBA Playoffs.
In 2018, Korver returned to Utah when the Cavaliers and Jazz completed a trade.
He played 37 games during his second stint as a Jazzman.

Korver finished his NBA career as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks during the 2019-20 campaign.
During his time a Jazzman, Korver averaged 8.8 points per game on 44.8 percent shooting, including 40.5 percent on three-pointers.
