Arizona Cardinals Sign Former BYU Wide Receiver Aleva Hifo

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Arizona Cardinals announced the signing of former BYU wide receiver Aleva Hifo.
The Cardinals signed Hifo on Friday, August 6.
As part of the transaction, Arizona released receiver Isaac Whitney.

Hifo’s agent Evan Brennan commented on the move.
“Super excited to welcome former @BYUfootball WR to @AZCardinals,” the NFL agent tweeted. “Good to get another one from the alma mater in the NFL.”

Hifo went undrafted out of BYU in 2020 before he spent time on the practice squad for the Kansas City Chiefs.
This offseason, the wideout was offered a training camp invite by the New Orleans Saints.
Hifo played for the Cougars from 2016-19.
During his four season in Provo, Hifo had 118 receptions for 1,336 yards and seven touchdowns. He played in 51 games at BYU.
Arizona begins its preseason schedule against the Dallas Cowboys on Friday, August 13 at 8 p.m. (MDT). The game will broadcast on NFL Network.
The Cardinals open the 2021 regular season against the Tennessee Titans on September 12 at 11 a.m (MDT) on CBS.
