Seahawks LB Bobby Wagner Announces Seattle Kraken Picks During NHL Expansion Draft

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah State and current Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner announced a pair of selections by the Seattle Kraken during the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft.

The Expansion Draft for the league’s newest franchise took place on Wednesday, July 21.
Near the end of the draft, Wagner took the stage in downtown Seattle and announced a pair of picks by the Kraken.
Wagner followed up former NFL star Marshawn Lynch, who announced Seattle’s selection of Calle Jarnkrok.
The former USU standout told ESPN’s Chris Fowler that he was glad his picks had easier names to pronounce that Lynch had.

First, Wagner announced that the Kraken had chosen Vince Dunn from the St. Louis Blues.

After Dunn, Wagner shared Seattle’s pick of former Winnipeg Jets forward Mason Appleton.

During the draft, Fowler announced information for the Kraken’s home-opener.
The Kraken will play their first game on the road against the Vegas Golden Knights on October 12. Seattle’s first home game will be against the Vancouver Canucks on October 23.
About Bobby Wagner
Wagner and the Seahawks are currently preparing for the start of training camp at the end of July.
After a great career at Utah State, Wagner was selected by the Seahawks in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Wagner has played his entire career in Seattle and is the Seahawks’ franchise leader in tackles. He is currently one of the best linebackers, if not the best linebacker, in the NFL.

During his career, Wagner has recorded 1,213 total tackles, 726 solo tackles, 22.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, nine fumble recoveries, 10 interceptions, one touchdown, and 55 pass breakups.
Wagner and the Seahawks open the 2021 NFL season against the Indianapolis Colts on September 12.
