SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Tony Finau is back in action this week at the Travelers Championship and will be a key contributor within the broadcast feed after he was named as a member of a featured group.
Before every tournament, the PGA Tour announces the pairings that will be members of that week’s featured groupings.
Finau will play alongside world number two Dustin Johnson and world number eight Brooks Koepka through the first two rounds at TPC at River Highlands.

Finau enters this week following his missed cut at last week’s U.S. Open. It was his first missed cut since the 2019 U.S. Open which was hosted at Pebble Beach and he consequently fell one place in the Official World Golf Rankings to number 15.
During last week’s U.S. Open, Finau played with tape around his right wrist, with some speculating on social media that he was playing with an injury. However, no official announcement was made by the Finau camp. His inclusion in this week’s Travelers Championship would suggest that he is healthy.
Finau’s history at the Travelers has been both good and bad. Earlier in his career, Finau made a number of top 30 finishes that were headlined by his T17 finish in 2017.
However, the last two years have surprisingly been poor for Finau as he has missed the cut at the last two tournaments.
2015: T25
2016: T25
2017: T17
2018: Not in the field

The Travelers Championship will be available to watch on the Golf Channel starting on Thursday and ending on Sunday.
Finau will tee off at 11 a.m. off the 1st tee on Thursday and at 5:45 a.m. off the 10th tee on Friday.
