SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Donovan Mitchell will miss at least another week with his sprained right ankle according to the Utah Jazz.

The All-Star was re-evaluated on Saturday, two weeks after his initial injury against the Indiana Pacers, and will be re-evaluated again next week.

Mitchell hurt the ankle in the third quarter of a Jazz home victory on April 16 against Indiana after coming down awkwardly on his right leg. The All-Star guard was diagnosed with a severe lower right ankle sprain.

“Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell was re-evaluated by the team’s medical staff today for a sprained ankle he sustained vs. Indiana on April 16,” the team said.

“He continues to make progress towards a return and will be re-evaluated in one week.”

Mitchell has missed seven games with the injury, the longest stretch of his career, and the Jazz are 3-4 in his absence.

The guard was in the midst of a career year for the Jazz before the injury. Mitchell was averaging a personal best 26.4 points, 5.2 assists, and 4.6 rebounds for the Jazz while shooting 43 percent from the floor and 38 percent from the three-point line.

The Jazz are set to play the Toronto Raptors Saturday night, before a two-game series with the San Antonio Spurs on Monday and Wednesday. The team then concludes the week with back-to-back games against the Denver Nuggets and Houston Rockets on Friday and Saturday.

All five games will be played in Salt Lake City before the Jazz head out on the road to play three of their four final games on the road to close the season.

The team also announced that Mike Conley would miss Saturday’s game as he continues to rehab his re-aggravated hamstring injury.
