Nike Releases ‘Stronger Than One’ Zach Wilson Commercial For NFL Draft 2021

PROVO, Utah – One week after signing an endorsement deal with Nike, the Swoosh has released a Zach Wilson commercial.

The clip is centered around Nike’s “Stronger Than One” campaign. Nike released the commercial on social media, and it shows the story of Zach Wilson beginning in his hometown of Draper. To now, getting ready to be one of the top 2021 NFL draft picks.

“My journey didn’t take me to those big Power Five teams. You know, I didn’t have all those big offers,” said Wilson in the commercial. “It was every single day just working to prove everybody, you know, that I’m that guy.”

Wilson picked BYU over offers from Boise State, Cal, Oregon State, Syracuse, Iowa, and others. He was a three-star recruit in the class of 2018.

“He was in high school and he was a fourth-string quarterback,” Wilson’s father, Mike Wilson, said. “He got to BYU and there was nine quarterbacks in the room.”

It’s fun to look back and see who the other signal-callers were when Zach Wilson began his BYU career. The other QBs, along with Zach, included Tanner Mangum, Beau Hoge, Tanner Mangum, Kody Wilstead, Stacy Conner, Baylor Romney, Talmage Gunther, and Gunnar Legas. Upon arrival on BYU’s campus, Wilson moved up the QB depth chart quickly.

Wilson got his first start during his true freshman season in 2018 when he led BYU to a win over Hawaii. Wilson established himself, when healthy, as the face of the BYU program at quarterback.

“On Friday night after workouts, I would drive ten hours out to California. Train those two days and then hop in the car on Sunday and drive back. I just took it really seriously as far as just how I approach it,” said Zach Wilson. … “It’s about winning a Super Bowl. It’s about taking your team to the next level and you know I’m excited to have that opportunity for that challenge.”
