Clubs From Around Europe React To Super League News On Social Media

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The soccer world has been rocked over the past 42 hours after news broke that Europe’s largest clubs were intending on creating their own “Super League.”

Backlash immediately followed as fanbases, managers, and players united to stop the league from progressing. The recoil was so intense and overwhelming that every Premier League club associated with the Super League has since withdrawn their names some 48 hours after the league was announced.

Politicians, members of The Royal Family, and others all voiced their concerns for the new league stating that the premise of fair competition is being ruined by the greed shown by the owners of the founding clubs.

Throughout Europe, every professional soccer league has a promotion and relegation system, unlike the sporting leagues in the United States and soccer fans struggled to fathom the thought of teams playing in a league knowing that there are no repercussions for poor performances.

Fortunately, the soccer world has seemingly prevailed victorious and the Super League is plummeting to its death. The fans played a key role in stopping the league from progressing through outrage and the collaborated use of their voices.
