PROVO, Utah – If you want to get a glimpse of the 2021 BYU football team, you’re in luck. BYU announced on Wednesday they will be allowing 7,500 fans to attend the final practice of the spring season on March 26th.

The practice will take place at LaVell Edwards Stadium on Friday, March 26th at 6 p.m. To allow for proper social distancing and contact tracing, the practice will be a ticketed event. Fans will need to sit in their assigned seat.

Tickets go on sale at BYUtickets.com on Thursday, March 18th beginning at 10:30 a.m. with the Cougar Club Legacy 5 & 6 tiers along with the AD Circle. The general public tickets go on sale beginning at 12 p.m. on Thursday.

Tickets will be $10 per person.

BYU Football Spring Practice Ticket Schedule

Tickets go on sale, Thursday, March 18th

  • 10:30 a.m. (MDT): Cougar Club Legacy 5, Legacy 6, AD Circle
  • 11 a.m.: Cougar Club Legacy 1, Legacy 2, Legacy 3, Legacy 4
  • 11:30 a.m.: Cougar Club Y Fan, Regular Cougar, Bronze Cougar, Silver Cougar, Golden Cougar, Platinum Cougar
  • 12 p.m.: General Public

Prior to the spring game will feature an alumni game at 4 p.m. The alumni game is starting to become an annual tradition in the spring. Two years ago, BYU held a public spring scrimmage at the old Provo High, now a BYU-owned facility, with former Cougar greats competing in a flag football game.

The last time fans were welcomed to spring practice on a Friday night was in 2015, the final year Bronco Mendenhall was the head coach.

BYU is coming off an 11-1 season in 2020 where they finished No. 11 in the final AP Top 25 poll. The No. 11 ranking was the highest finish for BYU football since 1996 where they ended No. 5.

A big storyline for the Cougars in spring ball is the heated quarterback battle to replace eventual Top five NFL Draft pick, Zach Wilson. Upperclassmen Jaren Hall and Baylor Romney have starting experience during their BYU careers while the Cougars also boast a pair of talented freshmen in Jacob Conover and Sol-Jay Maiava-Peters.
