Jason Kreis Named Top Assistant For Phil Neville & Inter Miami CF

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Real Salt Lake player and coach Jason Kreis has been promoted by Phil Neville and Inter Miami CF and will act as Neville’s right-hand man on the sidelines during the 2021 season.
Kreis, 48, joins the first-team coaching staff after spending a year as the Manager of Inter Miami’s USL affiliate, Fort Lauderdale CF, he is also the manager of the United States under-23 team.

The promotion for Kreis marks the first job at the Major League Soccer level since he was sacked by Orlando City in 2018.
Kreis has become one of the most recognizable faces in North American soccer. His fame began following a heroic six-year coaching span at RSL from 2007-13. During that time, Kreis and RSL won the MLS Cup in 2009, they made multiple deep CONCACAF Champions League runs and were the formidable team in the league.

His diamond midfield system proved too much for opponents to handle and RSL, led by Kyle Beckerman and Javier Morales, was unstoppable.
Kreis left RSL in 2013 for expansion club New York City FC. However, short stints in New York and Orlando City quickly left Kreis on the outside looking in. His managerial career was at a crossroads. His diamond midfield was cracking and teams were starting to figure Kreis and his system out.
The latest promotion for Kreis proves as a lifeline. His coaching career is making a return, which is frightening for opposing teams within the league.
