Jazz Ingles To Represent Australia With Boomers

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Joe Ingles will represent his native Australia in the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
On Tuesday, the Boomers announced their 24 man roster, including Ingles and a few names familiar to Jazz fans, that must be trimmed to 12 before the actual games.
Eight teams have already qualified for the Olympics games, including the Boomers due to their performance at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup. In total, 12 teams will compete in the Olympic games.

Ingles will represent Australia for the fourth time as an Olympic athlete. The Jazz guard first debuted with the Boomers at the 2008 games in Beijing.
Former Jazzman Dante Exum has also been named to the squad. Exum spent the first six years of his career with the Jazz before being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2019. Exum is now a member of the Houston Rockets.
Brock Motum, who spent an offseason with the Jazz and made the preseason roster but was waived before opening night, was also named to the roster.

In all, nine current NBA players will represent Australia at the Olympic Games this summer.
Former University of Utah star and number one overall pick Andrew Bogut will not be with the Boomers in Tokyo for games. Bogut announced his retirement from basketball in December.
The Tokyo Olympics are scheduled to take place between July 24 and August 9.
