Browns Linebacker Sione Takitaki Seals Wild Card Win Over Steelers With Interception

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former BYU and current Browns linebacker Sione Takitaki intercepted Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to seal an AFC Wild Card win for Cleveland.

The Steelers hosted the Browns on Sunday, January 10.

With 3:16 left in the game, Takitaki picked off Roethlisberger and returned the ball 23 yards in Pittsburgh territory.

The interception set up a 37-yard field goal, which stretched Cleveland’s lead to 48-29 with 2:51 remaining in the fourth quarter.

The turnover was the former BYU linebacker’s second interception of the 2020 season.

It was Roethlisberger’s fourth interception of the game and Pittsburgh’s fifth total turnover.

Cleveland went on to win the game, 48-37.

Takitaki ended the contest with three total tackles, two solo tackles, one pass breakup, and one interception.

With the win, Cleveland advanced to the AFC Divisional Round against the Kansas City Chiefs.
