SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah State basketball team completed their two-game road sweep over Air Force with a 72-53 win on Saturday afternoon.

Utah State basketball also beat Air Force on Thursday afternoon, 83-48, which set up the sweep. The Aggies have won their last 5 games, including four straight conference games. It wasn’t as big of a win on Saturday compared to Thursday but Utah State outscored the Falcons 33-20 in the first half and then 39-33 in the second half.

Four Aggies scored in double figures led by Justin Bean and Neemias Queta with 15 points apiece. Queta had a double-double with 11 rebounds, while also dishing out 6 assists and blocking 4 shots, moving into second place in school history for most career blocked shots. Brock Miller knocked down 3 three-pointers on his way to 13 points. Rollie Worster added 10 points in the win.

Utah State shot 54 percent from the field, including 65 percent in the second half. They knocked down 7-of-19 from beyond the arc and made half of their 10 free throw attempts.

For Air Force, A.J. Walker scored 19 points and pulled down 5 rebounds. Chris Joyce posted 11 points and 3 boards. The Falcons connected on 40 percent field goal shooting, while also posting 52 percent shooting in the second half. They made just five three-pointers in 14 attempts.

Utah State committed 18 turnovers with Air Force scoring 17 points off of turnovers. On the flip side, the Falcons had 16 turnovers with the Aggies scoring 16 points off of those miscues.

The Aggies outrebounded Air Force 38-21 and had 10 second chance points and 44 points in the paint. The Falcons managed to get just 4 second chance points and 22 points in the paint.

Utah State improved their record to 7-3 overall and 4-0 in Mountain West play.
