Real Salt Lake Hoping That Santa Can Deliver Stability This Christmas

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Salt Lake is desperately pleading for some stability ahead of the year 2021.
In the last handful of seasons, RSL has battled its way through a constant stream of controversy but with light at the end of the tunnel and a new owner expected to take over in the new year the club can get back to doing what it does best; winning.
Winning at the MLS level comes in many forms. Whether you win on the pitch, or in the scouting department, or with a marketing strategy, or gaining new sponsors. Every club that knows how to win has a similarity, they ensure stability within the work environment.
The culture of any club that knows how to win is stable. It is a priority. A must.

RSL has not had stability over the years, and subsequently, the results on the pitch have started to dwindle.
Many employees have been furloughed or have decided to quit, most due to the culture of the club and its damning nature.
Then you have the higher profile scandals that have taken place, such as the Mike Petke firing, the Andy Carroll leave of absence and the Dell Loy Hansen allegations which ultimately led to his demise as owner.

The club has not always been that way, just over a decade ago RSL was known as an annual contender for the MLS Cup, they were qualifying for CONCACAF Champions League and played a style of soccer that warranted Rio Tinto Stadium be sold out every game.
The club is on fire. Bleeding before our very eyes. It is desperate for change. It needs somebody that will love it the way it deserves.

That day will hopefully come shortly after the new year, light is at the end of the tunnel.
RSL fans can hardly wait for what the future holds. A new chapter is upon us, how will RSL return to the top of the Western Conference? And how long will it take?
This Christmas, Santa Claus will deliver the stability need for RSL to find its footing, again. Hopefully, Santa has heard the cries for help and can offer a final blessing for those of us that need it. Those of us that live in the Real Salt Lake world.
