PROVO, Utah – BYU football might not be headed to a major bowl game, but the Cougars can lay claim to being the highest-ranked team out west at the end of the 2020 season.

The latest Top 25 rankings for the AP, Coaches, and College Football Playoff rankings were released on Sunday and BYU made a small jump in all the polls.

Pollsters in the Associated Press Top 25 ranked 10-1 BYU the highest at No. 13. Coaches placed BYU at No. 15 and the Playoff Committee placed the Cougars at No. 16.

BYU finished higher than all of the teams in the Mountain and Pacific timezones of the college football landscape, including Pac-12 Champion Oregon who appeared in the Playoff and AP rankings at No. 25.

The Cougars will look to cap off their 2020 season in the Boca Raton Bowl against 6-3 UCF from the American Athletic Conference on Tuesday, December 22.
