PROVO, Utah – The state of Montana has never been a hotbed for BYU football recruiting but it became a priority in the recruitment of Dylan Rollins.

Rollins, a three-star prospect according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, announced his commitment to BYU football on Tuesday. A 6-foot-5, 284-pound offensive tackle, Rollins is a recruit in the class of 2021.

“First off, I’d like to thank everyone who’s helped me get to this point. To all my family, friends, coaches, trainers, and teammates, I can’t thank you all enough for all the help and support you give me. I really couldn’t be here without you. Also, thank you to all the schools that have recruited me and followed me through this recruiting process.

Above all else, I would like to thank God for all he has given me, especially the opportunity to play the game at the next level, and for blessing me with the abilities and people in my life that have gotten me to where I am. With that said, I’d like to announce my commitment to Brigham Young University!! Go Cougs!”

Rollins is rated as the No. 1 recruit by 247Sports in the state of Montana. When he enrolls, Rollins will be the first player to letter at BYU since Jeff Ellis in 1998.

The Missoula, Montana reported offers from Power 5 programs Minnesota and Oregon State. Along with Group of 5 offers from Air Force, Central Michigan, UNLV, and Utah State.

Rollins is the 15th commitment in BYU’s 2021 class and he’s the eighth highest-rated prospect in the class that has added five players in the past month. BYU now has four offensive linemen committed in the 2021 class.

The Early Signing Period begins on Wednesday, December 16th, and runs through December 18th.
