SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Weber State men’s basketball team opened the 2020-21 college basketball season with a victory over Adams State behind Isiah Brown’s big performance.

The Wildcats hosted the Grizzlies on Wednesday, November 25.

In his debut, Brown led Weber State to a 88-60 season-opening win with a 26-point game on 7-14 shooting.

After spending time with Grand Canyon and Northwestern, Brown, a senior, joined the Wildcats in April as a graduate transfer.

The Wildcats had three players score in double figures in their 28-point victory.

Michal Kozak and Cody Carlson scored 10 and 13 points, respectively.

Weber State shot 25-54 from the field for 46.3 percent overall, including 41.7 percent from downtown.

Frederick Jackson led the Grizzlies with 17 points.

Weber State’s next game is against Dixie State on Saturday, November 28 at 2 p.m. (MDT).
