Jazz Fans Can Now Get Jordan Branded Yellow Statement Jerseys

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – If you follow Utah Jazz basketball you know two things. First, the fanbase idolizes Michael Jordan who broke their hearts in 1997 and 1998 during the Finals, and second, they love the team’s yellow Statement jerseys which the team wore eight times during the past season, winning just one game.

Okay, maybe this understanding of what Jazz fans prefer when it comes to the 1990’s basketball legends and current jersey trends is slightly off. Regardless, Jazz fans can now combine their two least favorite pieces of basketball idolatry into one item.

The Jordan brand is the official sponsor of the Jazz Statement jersey.

Fans May Not See Jordan Statement Brand Often

Despite Jordan brand taking over the Statement jerseys leaguewide, Jazz fans may not see the yellow uniform often. After the Jazz rough record in while wearing the Statement edition, the players asked to have the jersey pulled from the rotation.

The jersey’s presented such an issue for the team, the usually no-nonsense coach Quin Snyder even joked about the yellow curse.

Fans who want to show off the Jordan branded statement jerseys should expect to pay a pretty price for the newly available uniform. The jerseys are available beginning at $110 in the Jazz team store.

Donovan Mitchell, the Jazz third-year guard who is featured in the advertisement for the newly branded jerseys may not be as unhappy about the logo as some fans. Mitchell chooses to wear the number 45 in honor of Jordan who donned the number when he came out of retirement with the Bulls in 1995.
