Buffalo Bills Running Back Zack Moss Ruled Out For Game Against Los Angles Rams

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott ruled out rookie running back Zack Moss from playing in the team’s upcoming game against the Los Angeles Rams.

The Bills are scheduled to host the Rams on Sunday, September 27 at 11 a.m. (MDT).
On Friday, September 25, McDermott told WGR 550 that Moss wouldn’t be on the field for Buffalo against Los Angeles.
Moss is listed as “OUT” with a toe injury.

The rookie running back didn’t suit up for practice on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Moss is one of three players currently listed as “OUT” on the Bills’ injury report for the September 27 contest.

Zack Moss’ Rookie Season
The former University of Utah running back was selected by Buffalo during the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Buffalo listed Moss as the Bills’ No. 2 running back on the depth chart to begin the season. Moss is the primary backup to starter Devin Singletary.
Through the first two weeks of the NFL season, the rookie has recorded 17 carries for 48 yards and a pair of first downs on the ground. He’s also caught three passes for 16 yards and a touchdown in two games played.

During Moss’ freshman season in 2016, he played in 10 games and carried that ball for 382 yards and two touchdowns.
Moss played in 13 games, including 12 starts, as a sophomore. He recorded 1,173 yards and 10 touchdowns.
In 2018, Moss was named Second-Team All-Pac-12 after rushing for 1,096 yards and 11 touchdowns. He missed the last five games of the regulars season, the Pac-12 Championship Game, and the Holiday Bowl after suffering a season-ending knee injury.

As a senior in 2019, Moss ran for 1,416 yards and 15 touchdowns. He led the Pac-12 in both categories. He was named an All-American and Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year.
Moss broke Utah records for most career rushing yards, touchdowns, and carries.
