No. 4 Skyridge Rolls Past No. 5 Orem To Win Third Straight Game

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The fourth ranked Skyridge Falcons won their third straight win after dominating the No. 5 Orem Tigers, 35-14.
The Falcons jumped out to a 28-0 lead in the first half before Orem answered with two second half touchdowns. Skyridge scored once in the second half. For the Falcons, McCae Hillstead threw three touchdown passes to three different receivers including, Connor McAllister, Jack Hadfield and Mitch Adamson. Hillstead also ran in a touchdown. Jeter Fenton added a rushing score.
For Orem, Paxton Skipps scored a two-yard touchdown in the third quarter and Micah Fe’A found Nathan Terrell for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter.

Region 1
Clearfield 6 at Weber 45
Weber scored all 45 of their points in the first three quarters before Clearfield found the end zone. Jake Lindsay had four total touchdowns, two rushing and two passing. One of his TD runs was from 70-yards. He found Aisea Moa and Cannon DeVries through the air. DeVries also returned a punt 78-yards for a touchdown. For Clearfield, Peyton Hover connected with Nixon Dayley for their only touchdown. Weber starts Region 1 play with a win.

No. 7 Davis 44 at Northridge 0
The Darts scored 21 points in the opening quarter and never looked back. Chance Trujillo threw a touchdown pass and ran one in. He connected with Ethan Healey. Spencer Ferguson ran in three touchdowns on the ground.
No. 11 Roy 34 at Fremont 27
Both teams scored two touchdowns in the first quarter but Roy failed to make one PAT. The second quarter had both teams scoring one touchdown. The separation came in the third quarter when the Royals scored 14 points and held Fremont to a field goal. For Roy, Parker Kingston accounted for three touchdowns, one passing and two rushing. Izzy Gordon added two rushing scores. Cade Harris hauled in the only receiving touchdown for Roy. For Fremont, Jayce Storey and Kyler Kotter each scored a rushing touchdown. Storey also had a 28-yard pick six.

Syracuse 24 at Layton 14
Syracuse scored 21 points in the second quarter while Layton had one touchdown. The Lancers scored one more time in the third quarter with the Titans adding a field goal to secure the win. Trevor Drake threw two touchdowns to Jake Metcalfe and Tyson Stapley. Daxton Faddis had a 52-yard pick six in the second quarter for Syracuse. Layton received touchdowns from Lofa Fonoti and Sione Vailahi, both on the ground.
Non-Region
Cedar City 51 at Taylorsville 19
Cedar City outscored Taylorsville 44-7 in the first half. They added one more touchdown in the fourth quarter while the Warriors scored twice in the final period. Jaron Garrett threw four touchdowns and ran in one in the win for the Reds. He connected with Jack Cook twice along with a TD apiece for Braxton Torres and Trey Payne. Seth Brinkerhoff added a rushing touchdown. The Warriors had a rushing score from Humani Wolfgramm along with two passing touchdowns. He found Braxton Bates and Dalton Jamison through the air.
No. 1 Corner Canyon 42 at No. 10 Bingham 20
Corner Canyon need a 21-7 run in the second half to top Bingham and win their 29th straight game. Bingham started the game with a field goal. The Chargers answered with a touchdown pass from Jaxson Dart to Jett Meine. The Miners responded with a 3-yard TD from Saia Lomu. Dart took the lead back with a 69-yard touchdown pass to Talmage Handley. Bingham ended the first half with a field goal to trail 21-13. Corner Canyon scored four unanswered touchdowns with Dart throwing four touchdowns. Troy Mehn threw his only TD pass of the game in the fourth quarter to Isaiah Glasker.
Dart finished with 6 touchdown passes, tow to both Handley and Noah Kjar while also finding Cody Hagen and Jett Meine once each.

East 8 at No. 3 Lone Peak 32
The game was close until the fourth quarter after the Knights had a 15-point lead in the first half. Lone Peak pulled away with 17 fourth quarter points and East was held to 8 points. Lone Peak received two touchdown passes from Luke Romney, finding Crew McChesney and Weston Covey. Jaxson Willits ran in a rushing touchdown. For East, Mapa Vaenuku scored the only touchdown for the Leopards on the ground.

Highland 31 at No. 20 Granger 14
The Rams picked up their first win of the season with a big victory over Granger. They jumped out to a 24-0 lead in the first half. Ben Boren and Peizge Malei each ran in a rushing touchdown. Highland scored two touchdowns on defense with a 37-yard pick six by Maea Giles in the first quarter and an 83-yard pick six by Ashton Olevao in the final minute of the game. For the Lancers, Desmond Fue and Tevita Finau ran in the two touchdowns.

Hunter 14 at No. 13 Westlake 25
Westlake started the game with a safety and a field goal in the first quarter. Brayden Ross threw back-to-back touchdown passes in the second quarter, hitting Zach Allen and James Maxwell. Hunter stopped the 18-0 run with a 3-yard touchdown by Lorenzo Tua’one. Ross connected with Thomas Davis to stretch the lead to 25-8. Tua’one scored the second and final touchdown for the Wolverines as the Thunder pick up a big win.
Jordan 0 at No. 6 Pleasant Grove 42
Pleasant Grove scored three touchdowns in both the first and second quarters and that was all they needed. Sam Leavitt threw four touchdowns, finding four different receivers including Aaron Jones, Carter Merrill, Darrius Clemons and Ryker Schow. Rex Connors ran in a score and had a 70-yard pick six.
Logan 31 at Cyprus 28
Logan jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first half. Cyprus responded with 21 points in the third quarter but allowed the Grizzlies to score twice. The Grizzlies knocked in a field goal early in the fourth quarter to take a 10-point lead but Cyprus couldn’t complete the comeback as they scored one touchdown late in the fourth. For Logan, Kody Kirk threw three touchdowns and ran in a rushing score. He threw two touchdown passes to Jaylen Sargent and one to Gage Jenson. For the Pirates, Rush Monsen passed for two touchdowns and also had a 12-yard pick six. Ketuojole Achebo returned a kickoff 91-yards for a touchdown.
Final: Logan beat the Cyprus Pirates 31 – 28. Grizzles win their first game this season.

West 19 at No. 2 American Fork 43
American Fork outscored West 30-12 in the first half. The Cavemen added 13 points in the third and held the Panthers to one touchdown. Maddux Madsen threw four touchdowns, two to Fisher Ingersoll while finding Spike Adams and Will Zundel for one touchdown apiece. Adams also ran in a touchdown on the ground. Hunter Deuel had a scoop and score to add to the 43 points for American Fork.
West Jordan 14 at Herriman 17
West Jordan held a 14-10 lead in the first half. The game-winning touchdown didn’t come until the midway point of the fourth quarter. Herriman snaps a two-game losing streak. Cody Lazenby threw two touchdowns to Ephraim Asiata and Michael Falatea for Herriman. The Jaguars had a passing touchdown from Boston Farmer to Jaxson Harris. Octo Helfin added a rushing score.
