PROVO, Utah – Slowly but surely, BYU football is finding games to add to its 2020 schedule. According to a report from College Football Insider Brett McMurphy, BYU will be hosting the UTSA Roadrunners on October 10th in Provo.
Like many of the teams on BYU’s new schedule amid the COVID-19 pandemic, UTSA is a program that BYU has never faced before on the Gridiron.

The Roadrunners have been playing FBS football since the 2012 season. Since that first year in the FBS ranks eight years ago, the Roadrunners have put together three winning seasons during that time frame.
This report comes on the heels of UTSA’s rival Texas State being reported as a possible game for BYU this season on October 3rd. Reports for the Texas State game indicated that would be a “buy game” for the Bobcats to travel to Provo.
BYU starts a new seven-year television contract with ESPN this fall and the Worldwide Leader has television rights to all but one home football game for the Cougars.
UTSA has a new head coach in 2020 in first-time head man Jeff Traylor replacing four-year head coach Frank Wilson who coached the Roadrunners to a 19-29 record since 2016.
