Donovan Mitchell Provides Spark For Jazz In First Half Against Lakers

ORLANDO, Fla. – Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell gave the team a much-needed boost in the first half against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Mitchell recorded 21 points on 6 of 13 shooting from the field, 2 for 5 from the three-point line and a perfect 7 of 7 at the free throw line. He also had one rebound and one assist in 17 minutes.
The Lakers held a 58-56 lead at the halftime break.

Helping Mitchell offensively in the first half was Mike Conley with 9 points. Tony Bradley added 5 points and 4 rebounds, while Georges Niang and Rudy Gobert scored four points apiece.
Mitchell was matched in the first half by Anthony Davis, who scored 24 points and pulled down 7 rebounds. He shot 8 of 17 from the floor, 1 for 4 from the three point line and 7 of 10 at the charity stripe.
LeBron James chipped in 8 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists. Dwight Howard added 7 points off the bench.
Both Utah and Los Angeles are play their third reseeding game, both are 1-1 in the NBA bubble and are both coming off of a loss in their last game.
