Deron Williams’ Top 5 Postseason Dunks With Jazz

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – During the postseason runs with the Jazz from 2006-10, Deron Williams has provided many great plays and memories for the fans while in Salt Lake City.
Williams led the Jazz to the Western Conference Finals in 2007 while posting great performances in the many postseason games with the Jazz.
The SportsBeat team put together the five best dunks from Williams in the playoffs while wearing a Jazz uniform.
5. 2008: Look Out Lamar
In Game 2 of the 2008 Western Conference Semifinals, Williams took it to Lamar Odom in Los Angeles against the Lakers. Williams and the Jazz were on the break when he met Odom at the rim and finished with a right-handed slam.
Williams finished with 25 points and 10 assists as the Jazz lost to the Lakers 120-110 and trailed the series 2-0. The Lakers went on to eliminate the Jazz in six games.
4. 2010: Deron Dunks On World Peace
Two years later, the Jazz faced the Lakers in the second round of the 2010 NBA Playoffs. Williams was on a fastbreak when Wesley Matthews threw the ball behind him to Williams who extended his right arm over Metta World Peace while getting fouled.
Williams had 24 points and 8 assists in Utah’s 104-99 loss to Los Angeles. The Lakers went on to sweep the Jazz and won the NBA Championship by beat the Boston Celtics in seven games.
3. 2008: Game Four Hammer
In 2008, Williams flushed home a two-handed hammer dunk to erupt EnergySolutions Arena in Game 4. Williams led the Jazz with 29 points and 14 assists as they knocked off the Lakers in overtime, 123-115. The Jazz tied the series at two games apiece before the Lakers went on to win the next two games and the series.
2. 2007: Deron Dunks On The Champs
In the 2007 Western Conference Finals series opener against the San Antonio Spurs, Williams added another player to his poster collection. Williams was on the wing when Carlos Boozer had the ball near the foul line. The Jazz point guard cut past Tony Parker when Boozer threw him the ball and Williams threw it down over Spurs big man Fabricio Oberto.
Williams finished with 34 points and 9 assists but Utah lost to San Antonio in Game 1, 108-100. The Spurs eliminated the Jazz in five games and went on to win the 2007 NBA Title.
1. 2008: Just Get Out Of The Way Battier
In Game 4 of the first round series against the Houston Rockets, Williams threw down a big dunk over Rockets forward Shane Battier. Williams ran past Rafer Alston when he jumped into Battier, moving him out of the way and dunking the ball with his right hand. Williams recorded 17 points and 9 assists in Utah’s 86-82 win at home. The Jazz led the series 3-1 before eliminating the Rockets in six games.
