Three Local College Football Stars Participating Virtually In 2020 NFL Draft

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Three local college football players accepted invitations to participate virtually in the 2020 NFL Draft.
The NFL announced on Monday, April 6 that this year’s draft would be “fully virtual” due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Former Utah State quarterback Jordan Love and Utah standouts Jaylon Johnson and Zack Moss were among 58 players listed as virtual participants for the Draft.

“League and club facilities are set to remain closed indefinitely to ensure the NFL is in compliance with current novel coronavirus regulations,” according to NFL.com. “Therefore clubs were advised to prepare to conduct the draft outside of their facilities with personnel advised to be in separate locations, using phone and the internet to communicate.
In March, the league canceled all public events for April’s NFL Draft. This year’s Draft was originally scheduled to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jordan Love – Quarterback, Utah State
As a junior in 2019, Love threw for 3,402 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 17 interceptions.
The former Aggie had a breakout season in 2018 when he threw for 3,567 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions. He was named the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 2018.
In three seasons as the starting quarterback for Utah State, Love threw for 8,283 yards, 57 touchdowns, and 28 interceptions.
Jaylon Johnson – Defensive Back, Utah
The defensive back played for the Utes from 2017-2019. During his three-year college career, Johnson appeared in 38 games.
Zack Moss – Running Back, Utah
Moss finished his career as a Ute as the school’s all-time leading rusher. During his Utah career, MossĀ recorded 712 carries for 4,067 yards and 38 touchdowns on the ground. He appeared in 45 games.
He added 66 receptions for 685 yards and 3 touchdowns out of the backfield.
Moss helped Utah win back-to-back Pac-12 South titles in 2018 and 2019.

The NFL Draft is scheduled to take place from April 23-25.Ā Details on how Love, Johnson, and Moss have yet to be revealed.
