Report: Jazz Preparing To Stay Overnight In OKC, Possibly Bused Back To Utah

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Plans are being made for Utah Jazz players to stay overnight at Chesapeake Energy Arena after being tested for COVID-19.
The Jazz and Thunder were originally scheduled to play at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, March 11.
Seconds before the game was scheduled to tip-off, officials and coaches from both teams met for a lengthy conversation. A few minutes later, players and personnel from the Jazz and Thunder were asked to leave the court.

Shortly thereafter, the NBA announced that the game had been postponed and the 2019-20 season suspended.
Jazz players were quarantined at the arena and tested for COVID-19. Results for the tests were said to be available four hours after being administered according to ESPN’s Royce Young.
Young also reported “plans are being made for the Jazz players to stay overnight at the arena.” He highlighted the possibility of the Jazz being bused back to Utah instead of flying.
Results on the Jazz players' tests should be available in roughly four hours. Plans are being made for the Jazz players to stay overnight at the arena. Other team personnel is still being tested at the team hotel.

Young later reported the Jazz would stay overnight in an Oklahoma City hotel.
According to sources, the Jazz will be staying tonight in OKC at a hotel, and then pending the overnight results of the virus testing, will make plans on how to travel back to Salt Lake. Which could include a positive test charter plane and a negative charter plane.

How Do I Prevent It?
The CDCÂ has some simple recommendations, most of which are the same for preventing other respiratory illnesses or the flu:
- Avoid close contact with people who may be sick
- Avoid touching your face
- Stay home when you are sick
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and then throw the tissue in the trash
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing. Always wash your hands with soap and water if your hands are visibly dirty.
- If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
The CDC does not recommend wearing a facemask respirator to protect yourself from coronavirus unless a healthcare professional recommends it.
