Weber State Duo Jerrick Harding, Cody John Earn Big Sky Honors

OGDEN, Utah – The Big Sky Conference announced their end of season awards and Weber State guards Jerrick Harding and Cody John received honors.
Harding was named second team All-Big Sky after a tremendous season where he became the school’s all-time leading scorer and is third in Big Sky history while he received All-Big Sky honors for the third time in his career. In each of the last two seasons, Harding was named to the first team.
John received honorable mention honors.
After the regular season concluded, Harding led the Big Sky in scoring and was 11th in the nation with a 21.9 points per game average. He scored in double figures in 26 of his 28 games played this season. On February 6, Harding scored 44 points.
Harding has the sixth most career points of any active player in the country. He is also Weber State’s career leader in free throw percentage and is second in career field goals made, fourth in free throws made, fifth in steals and sixth in three-pointers.

John earned honorable mention honors for the second straight season after starting in all 31 games this year. He ranks 10th in the conference with a 14.9 points per game average. During conference play, he increased his average to 16.9 points per contest.

Southern Utah forward Cameron Oluyitan was named an honorable mention.
Eastern Washington’s Mason Peatling was named Big Sky Player of the Year, Northern Colorado’s Jonah Radebaugh was named Defensive Player of the Year, Jubrile Belo from Montana State received the Newcomer of the Year award, Montana’s Derrick Carter-Hollinger is the Freshman of the Year while Kai Edwards from Northern Colorado was named Top Reserve.
Jerrick Harding and Weber State will face Sacramento State in the first round of the Big Sky Tournament on Wednesday. Tip-off is at 9:30 a.m. and will be broadcast on Pluto TV and WatchBigSky.com.
