BYU Guard Zac Seljaas Rips Jersey During Game Against Santa Clara

PROVO, Utah – BYU men’s basketball guard Zac Seljaas ripped his jersey during the Cougars’ game against the Santa Clara Broncos.
Seljaas and the Cougars hosted the Broncos at the Marriott Center in Provo on Thursday, February 20.
After committing a turnover late in the first half, the BYU guard walked to the bench and tore the fabric of his No. 2 jersey in frustration.

Seljaas’ turnover led to an official TV timeout with 5:38 left in the first half. It was BYU’s fourth turnover of the game.

BYU went to the timeout with a 27-19 lead.
After returning to the court a couple of minutes later, Seljaas sported a No. 20 jersey without his last name on the back.

The Cougars took an eight-point advantage by shooting 52.0 percent from the field despite going 20.0 percent from behind the arc.
Yoeli Childs, TJ Haws, and Jake Toolson each had six points for the BYU.
Seljaas scored two points on 1-2 field goals. He added a rebound during his first minutes on the court.

BYU went to halftime with a 40-30 lead over the Broncos.
