RSL Set To Sign Venezuelan Winger Jeizon Ramirez

SANDY, Utah – Reports are surfacing from Venezuela that Real Salt Lake is set to sign 18-year old Jeizon Ramirez from Deportivo Tachira, a first-tier Venezuelan club. Despite being just 18-years young, Ramirez has appeared 65 times for his home club, Tachira, adding 6 goals.
Soooo some drama here.
Apparently his club had already announced his departure to Greece, but now they're accepting the newer offer from RSL? It wouldn't be anywhere close to the strangest thing I've seen in regards to transfers but that's a little odd. https://t.co/nHQgozEjeu

The news comes as no surprise following the fast departure of fellow Venezuelan, Jefferson Savarino. Real Salt Lake is in desperate need of attacking players after the club parted ways with longtime stalwarts Sebastian Saucedo, Brooks Lennon, Joao Plata, and Jefferson Savarino. Corey Baird and Sam Johnson are the only two players on the current RSL roster that have proved to be valuable assets to the attacking third.
The rumor took an interesting turn on the morning of January 30, as reports also started surfacing stating that Deportivo Tachiro had agreed to sell Ramirez to Greek tier-one club Asteras Tripolis F.C., however, RSL’s offer for the young phenom was better than the offer made by Asteras Tripolis F.C. which flipped Deportivo Tachiro’s decision and put RSL in the drivers seat.

We will have to hold our breath and hope that the owner of Deportivo Tachiro accepts the offer from Real Salt Lake. It sounds as though the offer from RSL is better than Greek club Asteras Tripolis F.C. which is good news for RSL fans as Ramirez is a special player who will likely have an immediate impact on the 2020 season.
