Mike Conley Buries Open Three, Adding To Jazz Run In San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Utah guard Mike Conley connected on an open three-point shot to help build a mini-run by the Jazz against the San Antonio Spurs.
The Jazz played against the Spurs at AT&T Center on Wednesday, January 29.
Conley’s wide-open triple extended the Jazz’s run to 8-2 midway through the third quarter of the game.

After the Jazz point guard made the field goal, the 87-78 Spurs led with 6:01 left in the third quarter.
Conley’s shot from behind the arc gave him 7 points on 2-4 shooting including 1-2 from three. He’d only played 10 minutes of game time midway through the third quarter.
The Jazz were shooting 42.0 overall and 50.0 percent from downtown after Conley’s three-pointer.

Utah was led by Donovan Mitchell’s 17 points on 4-12 shooting and 3-5 from behind the arc.
Hot-shooting from the Spurs along with poor defense from the Jazz helped San Antonio maintain a first-half advantage into the third quarter.
Utah, who’s known to share the basketball, only had 12 assists for midway through the quarter.
Jazz center Rudy Gobert picked up his fourth foul of the game only 53 seconds into the second half.
