Mitchell Buries Step-back Three-Point Jumper To Close First Half In L.A.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Utah guard Donovan Mitchell buried a jumper from behind the arc after a step-back to close out the first half for the Jazz.
Mitchell’s drilled the triple late in the second quarter of Utah’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday, December 28.
The Jazz star stepped back behind the arc, rose up for the shot, and buried the ball in the hoop. The net barely moved as the ball fell through the cylinder. Mitchell’s triple was the second of consecutive three-point makes by the guard late in the first half. The basket cut the Clippers lead to 63-61 as the two teams went to the locker rooms at halftime.

In the first half, Mitchell posted 12 points on 5-8 shooting. He was 2-3 from downtown. The Jazzman recorded 4 rebounds, 8 assists, and a steal in 17 first half minutes.

Utah went to the break shooting 50 percent on field goals and 50 percent on three-point attempts.

Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson led Utah with 13 points off of the bench.
Los Angeles was led by Kawhi Leonard’s 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.
