Jazz Preparing For Thunder Without Mike Conley

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz are preparing to host the Oklahoma City Thunder Monday night without the services of starting point guard Mike Conley who will miss his third game as he recovers from a strained hamstring.

Conley suffered the injury in the second half of the Jazz road game in Philadelphia and was listed as questionable before each of the Jazz last two games before ultimately being ruled out.

Against Philadelphia, Joe Ingles assumed the role of back up point guard and contributed 13 points and eight assists, playing more minutes alongside the team’s starters. Ingles has started each of the last two games, including a breakout 12 point, 10 rebound performance against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Jazz named Ingles the player of the week after shooting 41% from the three-point line, and averaging 7.7 assists per game.

The Jazz host the Thunder who will be without the services of Danilo Gallinari who is recovering from a sprained left ankle.

Oklahoma is off to a surprising 10-12 start to the season, sitting in the 8th seed in the Western Conference Playoff picture. However, it’s like that before the end of the season, the Thunder will look to move Chris Paul, Gallinari, and possibly even Steven Adams should the right trade offer come their way.
