Weber State Falls For First Time In Conference Play To Montana

MISSOULA, Mont. – The Weber State Wildcats fell for the first time in Big Sky Conference play in a loss to the Montana Grizzlies.

The Wildcats lost at the Grizzlies on Saturday, November 16.

No. 3 Weber State lost to a non-FBS team program for the first time in 2019 in its 35-16 defeat to No. 4 Montana.

The Wildcats fell behind 35-3 and were unable to recover.

Weber State was held to one made field goal in the first three quarters of play before scoring two touchdowns in the final nine minutes of the game.

Jake Constantine and Kaden Jenks both took snaps at quarterback for WSU. Constantine was 18/34 for 170 yards and 3 interceptions. Jenks was 10/17 for 124 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Wildcats’ star running back Josh Davis only carried the ball 9 times for 26 yards.

Weber State fell to 8-3 (6-1 Big Sky) in the loss. Their previous losses came against FBS opponents.

The Wildcats close out the regular season on November 23 against the Idaho State Bengals. The game is scheduled to kick off at 2 p.m. (MDT). The game will be broadcast on Pluto TV channel 535 and 1430 AM.

The Bengals lost at BYU 42-10 on November 16.
