Jazz Newcomers All Contribute In Win Over Sacramento

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Donovan Mitchell didn’t have to carry the Utah Jazz on offense by himself against the Sacramento Kings.
After the Jazz struggled to rally around Mitchell in the first two games of the season, Utah’s offense came together with a team effort versus. the Kings on Saturday, October 26.
Mitchell was one of five Jazz players that scored in double figures on Saturday night.
The Jazz guard led the team in scoring in their season-opening win against the Thunder and their loss to the Lakers on Friday night but he didn’t have to put up the same numbers on Saturday evening in order for Utah to win the game.
Many of Utah’s moves in the offseason were made with the intent providing Mitchell help on offense.
All the key newcomers for the Jazz had their best games of the season tonight.

The Jazz pulled away from the Kings in the second quarter and isn’t wasn’t particularly close in the second half. Utah emerged after 48 minutes with a 113-82 victory.

Mitchell was second with 15 points. Mike Conley revived his shooting after struggling in the first two games and posted 12 points in the win. Joe Ingles and Emmanuel Mudiay came off the bench and added 12 and 10 points respectively.
The Jazz shot the ball 56.4 percent on field goals and 48.6 percent on three-pointers. Utah tied a franchise record with 13 made shots from downtown in the first half.
The Kings were led by 11 points from Dewayne Dedmon and 10 points from Bogdan Bogdanovic.
Utah moved to a 2-1 record on the season with the victory. The Kings remained winless at 0-3.

Next on Utah’s schedule is the Phoenix Suns. The Jazz head on the road to play in the Valley of the Sun on October 28 at 8 p.m. (MDT).
