Utes Shutdown ASU’s Offense With Great Defense In First Half

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Utes held the Arizona State Sun Devils scoreless in the first half with great defensive play.
The Utes shutout the Sun Devils 14-0 in the first half of the game on Saturday, October 19 at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
Utah held Arizona State to 42 yards of total offense in the first 30 minutes of play.

The Sun Devils had 15 passing yards and 27 rushing yards.
Arizona State was 1-6 on third down plays.
The home squad controlled the time of possession limiting ASU to only 11:18 with the ball. The Utes controlled the clock with 18:42 in possession.
Utah also picked off Arizona State quarterback Jayden Daniels for a first half interception.
