Jazz Fans Encouraged To Vote For Favorite Gobert, Mitchell Commercial

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz fans are being asked to vote for their favorite commercial featuring Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell.
The Utah standouts star in two commercials for the Utah based home security company, Vivint Smart Home.
By voting, Jazz fans will help decide which commercial will air on television during Utah’s season opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder on October 23.

The two commercials are slight variations of each other. The Jazz center asks Mitchell if he has a new home security system and the Jazz guard responds that Gobert isn’t the only one to have “incredible defense around here.”
Gobert then angrily smacks a cup off of the counter in a parody of when he smacked over a cup of water following an ejection from a game against Houston on December 6, 2018.

The first commercial entitled “The Staredown” features Gobert and Mitchell having a “staring contest” before Gobert smacks the cup away.
The second commercial called “I’m Not Mad” has Gobert telling Mitchell that he isn’t mad about the guard’s verbal jab before swatting the cup.
The fan vote runs from October 18-21.
Fans that share Vivint Smart Home’s Facebook post about the commercials by November 1 will be entered into a drawing to win Utah Jazz tickets.
A winner will be announced by November 5.
