Corner Canyon Finishes Regular Season Undefeated With Win Over American Fork

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Corner Canyon Chargers have finished the regular season undefeated with a 59-28 win over American Fork.
They started the game with 21 straight points in the opening quarter and that was the difference in the game. Cade McDougal returned an interception 99-yards for a touchdown to begin the game. Austin Bell ran in three touchdowns, while Cole Hagen accounted for four touchdowns, two passing and two rushing. Maddux Madsen threw both of his touchdown passes to future BYU wide receiver Devin Downing for American Fork.

Region 2
Cyprus 23 at Kearns 56
Kearns scored 27 unanswered points in the first quarter before the Pirates scored. Dakota Lynde threw one touchdown and ran in another, while Naki Leha piled up three rushing scores.

Region 4
Lone Peak 17 at Pleasant Grove 7
Despite the news earlier in the day, having to forfeit all of their games, Lone Peak was able to pick up the win. Zach White had a rushing touchdown, with Luke Romney throwing a touchdown pass. Caleb Campbell connected with Kael Mikkelsen for Pleasant Grove’s only touchdown.
Skyridge 34 at Westlake 29
Skyridge scored 21 unanswered points in the first quarter before Westlake scored 14 straight in the second quarter. Each team scored one touchdown in the third quarter with Westlake outscoring Skyridge 8-6 in the fourth quarter to get the win. Emmett Call threw two touchdown passes and ran in one. Jeter Fenton added a rushing touchdown for Skyridge. Brayden Ross and Breven Balser each threw a touchdown pass, while Kale Anderson scored one on the ground.
