Utah Defensive Tackle Leki Fotu Named AP Midseason All-American

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – At the midway point of the college football season, the Associated Press released their midseason All-Americans.
They released two All-American teams that lists the best players in college football. Utah defensive tackle Leki Fotu was named to the AP Midseason All-American Second Team.
Fotu has been a force on Utah’s defensive line, forcing opposing offensive linemen to double team the senior. This season, Fotu has 11 tackles, including 5.5 for a loss, a pass deflection and forced fumble.
LSU quarterback Joe Burrow, on a record-breaking pace during the first half of the season, and Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor highlight The Associated Press midseason All-America team presented by @askRegions.

The Herriman, Utah star joins Baylor’s Bravvion Roy on the second team.
Fotu is one of eight players from the Pac-12 to be named the list, five on the first team and two on the second team. The first team features Oregon and former Desert Hills High School offensive tackle Penei Sewell, Oregon offensive guard Shane Lemieux, Ducks tight end Jacob Breeland, California linebacker Evan Weaver and Washington kicker Peyton Henry.
The two other Pac-12 players on the second team with Fotu is Washington offensive tackle Trey Adams and UCLA all-purpose player (WR/RB) Demetric Felton.
Utah will return to Rice-Eccles Stadium to host the 17th ranked Arizona State Sun Devils on Saturday at 4 p.m. on the Pac-12 Network.
