Eric Weddle Racks Up 15 Tackles In Rams Loss

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former University of Utah and current Los Angeles Rams safety Eric Weddle had a fantastic performance despite their loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He led the team with 15 tackles while deflecting two passes.
Matt Gay was used frequently for Tampa Bay with seven extra points and two field goals. Former BYU linebacker Kyle Van Noy led the New England Patriots in tackles along with a laundry list of stats that includes two sacks, one tackle-for-loss and three quarterback hits.

Star Lotulelei, DL, Buffalo Bills (3-1)
Lotulelei started at defensive tackle and picked up two tackles in the Bills’ 16-10 loss to the New England Patriots.

Devontae Booker, RB, Denver Broncos (0-4)
Booker had 3 kickoff returns for a total of 69 yards in the Broncos 26-24 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Garett Bolles, OL, Denver Broncos (0-4)
Bolles started at left tackle and played all 55 snaps on offense and four snaps on special teams as the Broncos lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars 26-24.

Sam Tevi, OL, Los Angeles Chargers (2-2)
Tevi started at right tackle and played 61 snaps on offense and seven on special teams as the Chargers beat the Miami Dolphins 30-10.

Eric Weddle, S, Los Angeles Rams (3-1)
Weddle started at safety and led the team with 15 tackles and two pass deflections, while also nearly getting an interception in the Rams 55-40 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Eric Rowe, CB, Miami Dolphins (0-4)
The former Ute started at cornerback and had six tackles and a pass deflection in the Dolphins 30-10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Williams started at safety and had 2 tackles and the game sealing interception as the Saints beat the Dallas Cowboys 12-10.

Sione Takitaki, LB, Cleveland Browns (2-2)
The former Cougar assisted on a tackle on special teams as the Browns beat the Baltimore Ravens 40-25.

Jamaal Williams, RB, Green Bay Packers (3-1)
Williams had one catch in the Packers 34-27 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football. He had to be carried off the field on a stretcher after a helmet-to-helmet hit.

Daniel Sorensen, S, Kansas City Chiefs (4-0)
Sorensen had four total tackles, two on defense and two on special teams in the Chiefs 34-30 win over the Detroit Lions.

Michael Davis, CB, Los Angeles Chargers (2-2)

Kyle Van Noy, LB, New England Patriots (4-0)
Van Noy started at linebacker and had a great game. He led the Patriots with 8 tackles, including two sacks, one tackle-for-loss, three hits on the quarterback, one of which resulted in the game sealing interception. The former Cougar also forced two fumbles in their 16-10 win over the Buffalo Bills.
