SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Utes football team will play the University of Florida Gators in the future.
The first game will be played in 2022 in Gainesville at the famous Swamp. The second, in 2023, will be played in Salt Lake City at Rice Eccles stadium.
The series was rumored late last week when Utah announced they are taking a break from the rivalry series against BYU for the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

Utah and Florida have only played once in November of 1977. That game was played in Gainesville. The Gators won that battle with a score of 38-29.
According to Utah, this announcement officially buttons up the Utes non-conference schedules until 2024.
