Former Utes WR Tim Patrick To Miss Time With Broken Hand

DENVER, Colo. – Former Utah Utes and current Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick suffered a broken hand in their 24-16 loss to the Oakland Raiders on Monday Night Football.
Patrick will have surgery and is expected to miss six to eight weeks.
He could be put on the injured reserve with the possibility of returning later this season.

Patrick was going into his second season with the Broncos after going undrafted in 2017. He had training camp stints with the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens before sticking to the Broncos roster and was expected to play a big role in their passing attack this season.
Last season, Patrick had 23 receptions for 315 yards and one touchdown. He played for the Utes in 2014 and 2016 and finished with 61 receptions for 888 yards and 5 touchdowns in 18 games played.
Denver has two other locals from the Utes on their roster in left tackle Garett Bolles, who is a regular starter on the offensive line. Also, running back Devontae Booker is the third string running back and a return specialist for the Broncos, entering the final year of his rookie contract.
The Broncos will host the Chicago Bears on Sunday at 2:05 p.m. on FOX.
