ESPN College Gameday’s Howard, Herbstreit Pick BYU To Beat Utah

CLEMSON, South Carolina – During Thursday evening’s edition of ESPN College Gameday, college football analysts, Desmond Howard and Kirk Herbstreit picked BYU to beat Utah in this year’s rivalry game.
The College Gameday crew was live from Clemson University and previewed each of Thursday’s games in college football. The host of the show, Rece Davis, asked each of the analysts for their predictions on the BYU/Utah game.
Howard and Herbstreit each picked the Cougars to be victorious in the rivalry game.
When talking about picking the Cougars over the Utes, Herbstreit said, “I think they get upset tonight in a rivalry game. Ty’Son Williams, transfer from South Carolina helps out Zach Wilson at quarterback. I think there’s an upset there.”

Former college football coach Lee Corso picked the Utes to win.
“It’s a rivalry game so you never know what’s going to happen,” said Corso.
Knowledge of College Football
Howard and Herbstreit are both former college football players.
Howard played at the University of Michigan and was recognized as the game’s top player in 1991 when he won the Heisman Trophy.
Herbstreit played for the Ohio State Buckeyes from 1989-1993.
Corso coached at multiple schools after playing for the Florida State in the 1950s. He was the head coach for Louisville, Indiana, and Northern Illinois.
The three analysts have multiple years of experience in the game of football. Corso has been an analyst for the program since its inception. Herbstreit has previewed game’s with Gameday since 1996. Howard joined the show more than a decade ago in 2005.
ESPN’s College Gameday has been on the air since 1987.
