PROVO, Utah – Former BYU linebacker Kyle Van Noy is doing big things with the NFL’s New England Patriots.
The former BYU star was a key piece to the Patriots Super Bowl title last season. This season Van Noy projects to be one of the leaders of New England’s defense.
Even though Van Noy is a busy man with his work in the NFL, he went to social media on Sunday to voice his support for his alma mater in preparation for the big rivalry game against Utah coming up this Thursday night.
Sunday today …. I didn’t get to church cuz I got work but damn if I was at church you know I’d be praying for a Win! Here comes the 4-0 talk IDC stand up Cougs nation LFG!! Y’all better grind this week @BYUfootball ! I’ll do the talkin y’all work! 😂😂✌🏽✌🏽

Hey, praying for a win in a football game is only crazy if it doesn’t work, right?
Van Noy’s reference to “4-0” was his expecting responses from University of Utah fans. During Van Noy’s time with the Cougars, he like many other great former BYU players were winless against the Utes.
The Patriots standout played at BYU from 2010-2013.
In four appearances against Utah, Van Noy had 25 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, and one interception. He did his part to try and lead his Cougar teams to wins against the Utes, but they came up short all four times.
Like BYU, Van Noy will also be in action this Thursday night as his Patriots compete in their final preseason game against the New York Giants. Lucky for Van Noy, the kickoff of the Pats game is at 5:30 p.m. (MDT) and should get done in time for the former BYU star to see his alma mater in action when they kick off in Provo at 8:15 p.m. (MDT).
